Special Considerations with Antique Collection
Antique Collection flooring is specially crafted to be unique from piece to piece. Small samples cannot represent the range of character you should expect to have in your final floor. If you have any concerns about the variation in this collection, we suggest you purchase a carton to see a larger sample prior to final purchase and installation. Please understand that once installed, Somerset will not honor any claims concerning the appearance of the floor.

INSTALLS VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE

Engineered flooring is made from several layers of wood that are bonded together in a cross-grain configuration. It is designed to have greater dimensional stability, and to withstand higher levels of humidity—so it’s a good choice for kitchens and basements.

We feel that no other hardwood flooring in the industry is manufactured to higher quality standards than a Somerset hardwood floor. Flooring in the Antique Collection carries our Lifetime Structural Integrity Warranty and a 50-Year Finish Wear Layer Warranty. Please read the entire warranty, which we call the "Somerset Commitment" here

We take great pride in the products we offer and want our customers to be completely satisfied with our flooring. Our warranty coverage is intended to give you peace of mind that you are purchasing a quality product from a highly reputable company. Please keep in mind that Somerset manufactures flooring, not finished floors; the flooring installer must complete the finished product. Many critical decisions must be made at the installation site, and therefore are the sole responsibility of the installer and owner. Please make sure to read our entire warranty document, so you understand the installer’s, and your, responsibility to insure a successful installation. In addition, we suggest you read our care and maintenance information as proper routine and preventative maintenance is important to your continued satisfaction with your floor.

Engineered flooring can be nailed, stapled, glued-down, or floated on, above, or below ground level—even in the basement.

We recommend that installation be done by a professional flooring installer, as many critical decisions must be made at the installation site which are the sole responsibility of the installer and owner. Hardwood flooring is an investment, that if properly installed and cared for can add value to your home. It is very important to understand that INSTALLATION CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE of hardwood flooring, subfloor, substrate, the jobsite (including the ambient temperature and relative humidity), and all other variables that may affect the performance of wood flooring. Complete installation instructions are packaged with Somerset flooring cartons and are available on our website under "Customer Support"
